The front fender apron (also called shock tower or strut tower tower) is a critical structural area:

• Suspension Mounting: The top of the strut or shock absorber mounts to the fender apron, transmitting suspension loads into the body structure.

• Front Crash Load Path: In frontal impacts, the apron transfers loads from the front rails into the upper body structure and A-pillars.
